NLRB Poster Mandate Blocked

Thursday, April 26, 2012 10:14

The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) rule that most U.S. employers would be required to post a notice of employees’ rights under the National Labor Relations Act by April 30, 2012, has been blocked by the U.S. Circuit Court for the District of Columbia pending the appeal of a prior D.C. district court ruling that the NLRB had the authority to issue the rule. This ruling shortly followed a determination by the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina that the NLRB lacked authority to approve the rule. Oral argument before the D.C. circuit court is scheduled for September of 2012.
